Golf del Sur

In contrast to the larger resorts of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos, the resort of Golf del Sur has been acclaimed by many experts as the most exclusive development of its kind in the Canary Islands extending to over a million and a half sq.mtrs, more than half of which is taken up by a truly magnificent 27 hole golf course - which has achieved Championship status, and has been ranked highly on the PGA circuit in Europe. The 18 hole Amarilla Golf Course lies next to the Golf del Sur, and more recently 2 further golf courses have been given the green light just minutes from the Golf del Sur, which would undoubtedly confirm the area as Tenerife's golfing capital.

In the area there are over 50 eating places serving all types of local and International cuisine, including Chinese, Mexican, Italian and even a traditional Peruvian restaurant.

Everyone's thirst can be catered for with numerous bars and Public Houses, including 3 Irish theme pubs with drinks at very reasonable prices. Many of these have dancing and live entertainment in the evening, with some of the UK’s leading performers.

In the large square at SANBLAS, just 10 minutes walk from Winter Gardens, there is nightly open-air entertainment until midnight. The square takes the form of a shopping and refreshment area by day, with plenty of alfresco dining and scores of shops selling everything including Duty Free electrical goods, tobacco, perfume and clothes etc.
